George sat with his feet on the radiator, an engrossing book open on his lap. It was a cozy kind of evening, and he’d never felt more content.
George: Amelia, do you know what would taste wonderful right now?”
Amelia (from the other room): What’s that, Georgie?
George: Some grilled cheese sandwiches with that wonderful new cheese from the market.
Amelia (from the other room): That does sound delicious!
But since George was reading his very engrossing book, and Amelia was on her computer working on her developmental edits for Patricia Johns’s newest book in the other room, neither of them got up to make the sandwiches. Grilled cheese remained a very good idea for another time.
