Just not fresh from my garden. But my husband has a coworker who has a wonderful, prolific garden, and he often shares with the guys at work. We never turn down offers of rhubarb or garden fresh tomatoes, I have to say! May his garden ever overflow!
In fact, these are far too many tomatoes for us to eat on our own. But when you’re the upstairs apartment family, sometimes it’s nice to share with the people who live directly below you. Our downstairs neighbours are wonderful people, and they’re always thrilled when we come knocking with some fresh produce from my husband’s coworker’s garden.
Plus, I think it makes them more forgiving of our small annoyances, too.
I love this time of year when gardens are overflowing! I think we have some fantastic tomato sandwiches in our future.
