Ever since my parents retired, they became very invested in helping me out with my career, and I have to tell you–I love it! Writing is such a solitary occupation,, so having my mom and dad be excited about helping me grow, and taking care of some of the day-to-day chores for me has been an absolute lifesaver.

They will do mail runs for me–mailing out giveaway packages to my readers and checking my mailbox for me at the post office. My mom will often bake muffins for us, too, so that I can keep my family in snack food while I’m poring over a project.

And most recently, they got me the most adorable gift! They ordered this press that can either press a book page, or a seal. It says: From the library of Patricia Johns, bestselling author.

I absolutely love it, and it’s just the most thoughtful gift! You can be guaranteed that every book I send out to giveaway winners will be pressed with either a seal or a book page impression. So much fun!

And when you see it, you can know that my parents were there in the background, supporting my efforts and joining in on the fun. They love my readers, too.
