It has been a few months since reading this book, and I’m still thinking about it. I’m telling everyone I know who enjoys Christian fiction that this one is an amazing read, too!
Rain by Dana McNeely is the story that surrounds Elijah and time the time of no rain when Elijah calls fire from Heaven. It is a fantastic book! From the temple of Melqart to the humble homes of loyal worshippers of Yahweh, the ancient Samarian culture is rolled out before you.
When I saw how the author intertwined the Biblical story into this tale, I literally stopped and gasped. And when the rain started to fall, I teared up. I don’t want to reveal too much of the plot and ruin anything for you. It’s powerful–that’s really the only thing I can say about this book! It’s incredibly powerful and I couldn’t recommend it more highly!
If you enjoy Christian fiction, you just might enjoy my Amish fiction, too! As always, I wish you quality time with quality books!
