The Amish Baby Scandal is a very sweet story about an unwed mother who has come home repentant and the childhood friend who is too shy to admit that he’s been in love with her for years.
It’s a gentle read, and so very satisfying! Emma is as emotionally mixed up as you’d expect a young unwed mother to be after the father abandons her, but her heart is pure. She made a mistake, but she’s determined to make it right and to be a good mother. Benjamin is hardworking, misunderstood and just as stable and stalwart as a girl could wish. But he’s never believed he was good enough for Emma, and even in her current troubles, he only sees how wonderful she is and doesn’t feel good enough.
With a well-meaning but meddlesome community and some family drama that comes out right in the end, you’ll enjoy this story for certain sure! It’s on the shelves everywhere now, so do yourself a favor and grab it!
