Three Easy Ways to Order Your Favorite Books

A lot of my Love Inspired readers just go to Walmart when the books come out and pick them up there. Easy peasy.

But for most of the books that are released each month, that’s not an option. (I mean, we wish it was, but Walmart only carries so many books, and their book section is shrinking.) Even bookstores like Barnes and Noble and Indigo (in Canada) can only carry so many books, and they might not carry many Christian Fiction books, for example. So how do people get their hands on the books they want to read?

1. Order the paperbacks online.
You can order books through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Christianbook.com, and pretty much any book retailer! They are shipped to your home, and they come right to your door. I do this a lot!

Perks?
~You get the paperback copies that you love.
~They come right to you in a couple of days.
~It’s easy!

2. Order the ebook.
This is super easy! Personally, I use Kindle, which is Amazon’s ebooks. I have a Kindle app on my phone (free to download) that lets me read the books I purchase right on my phone!

Perks?
~You get the books immediately and can start reading right away.
~You can adjust the print size just as big as you want, so if you love large print, you don’t have to pay more for that. You just adjust the print size.
~The cost is a bit lower because you aren’t getting a paperback copy.
~Free delivery!

3. Order in to your favorite store.

If you really want to get your books at Walmart, for example, you can order any books you want into the store and they will email you when your order is ready for pick up. You can do this at bookstores, too.

Perks?
~You can use the store where you already love to shop.
~You can let your local bookstore make the sale, which is good for their business.
~There is no shipping fee.
~You get the books you want to read, not just what’s on the shelf.

Don’t be limited to what you local bookstore or Walmart can stock! I think it’s a kindness to order your books through your local bookstore, just to help them get the sale, but don’t feel limited. In fact, I hope you’ll order my books in a way that is convenient for you. There are a lot of great books out there that don’t ever make it to a big box store shelf!

Happy reading!

    Patricia,

At your suggestion, I pre-ordered GREEN PASTURES and now STILL WATERS through Baker Book House. They are sent to my shipping address and I can pick them up at my convenience.

I do order books that Walmart doesn’t carry, like the Heartwarming line, through Barnes and Noble. The cost is a bit more, but I’m able to get the book I want.

Don’t have an Amazon account or a Kindle e-reader, but I’ll have to check into some of your other suggestions.

    Thank you!!

    1. Thank you so much for pre-ordering! That means the world! 🙂 And I’m glad you find ways to get those Heartwarming books, too! Good for you!

  2. I usually buy it from Walmart if they have it . I mostly buy Amazon kindle or low cost books from EBay .

    1. You have ways to get the books you want! That’s fantastic!

  3. I order my Love Inspired and Love Inspired Suspense books directly from Harlequin when they have sales. I also pick up occasionally from Walmart if I missed the Harlequin sale.

    1. Ordering right from Harlequin is great, too!

  4. I am disabled. It can be challenging for me to go into stores. I normally purchase my books through Amazon. They have such a wide variety of Love Inspired books. They keep them in stock a lot longer than the stores. I have also purchased them through Christian Book Distributors. God bless you.

    1. I use Amazon a lot, too. 🙂 It’s so convenient!

Your comments make me feel warm and fuzzy. Seriously!
