Crafting a Knitted Frog: A Holiday Project

This Christmas, I got crafty. I normally do when I have a vacation, but this little knitted frog that I’ve been working on has been in process for about a month now.

First I had to knit her onto a wire frame so that she’s posable, and then attach her hands and feet. And then, I needed to make her some clothes! And this Christmas, I pulled out my sewing machine and made her a little purple Amish dress and white apron.

I’m not a seamstress, I’m a writer. So you’ll have to forgive mistakes. This really is my best effort, and I’m quite pleased with it.

I even have a tiny Amish kapp for her wear!

What does an author do when she’s taking a break from writing over the holidays? Apparently, she clothes a knitted frog!

This froggy (once finished) will be part of a pre-order giveaway for An Amish Country Lullaby. I’ll post about that soon!

In the meantime, happy reading!

    Thank you for sharing,

    1. I probably won’t be giving the book away this time around. I’ll be doing giveaways with bookmarks and the knitted frog, though!

Your comments make me feel warm and fuzzy. Seriously!
