A one bookstore town

Like a lot of you, I’m an avid book buyer, but I live in a small town with one bookstore. One. And I have a vested interest in keeping that bookstore open! Can you imagine if we lost it? *Shudder*

I can’t always find the books I’m looking for on the shelves–but there are ways to get the books I want!

1. Order them in
It takes about a week for them to arrive.

2. Order them online and have them delivered
This isn’t quite so good for the sales at your local bookstore, but Amazon has next day shipping that I take advantage of a lot, too.

3. Invest in an e-reader
You can get your books immediately onto your e-reader for a lower cost than paperbacks, and save space, too. If you pre-order, they magically appear on release day.

The last time I went to pick up my book order at our local Indigo Books, they had a sale going on, and I grabbed a few extras to read on my week off. Those are the delightful risks of stepping into a bookstore! πŸ˜‰

If you’d like to keep up with my new releases (and maybe order them, or go look for them on the shelves?), sign up for my monthly newsletter. You’ll never miss a release!

Happy reading!

  1. Happy πŸͺ Day Patricia! πŸ˜ƒ It’s rather Ironic that you are sending us this message about ordering Books, etc. I just finished reading an e-mail that I received that my copy of ‘Loving Lovina’ should now arrive on April 6th! I suspect it’s very popular! Yay! πŸ€—πŸ’•

    1. Well, I certainly hope it is! πŸ™‚ I hope those delivery people rush it to you! πŸ™‚
