Pichu is our little Quaker Parrot, and we just adore him! He’s a little spitfire, though. Quakers are often referred to as little green dragons, and he lives up to the reputation. He’s noisy, and demanding, and full of shenanigans.
But he also has a softer side… one you wouldn’t really expect! If you get him in the right mood, he loves a lengthy snuggle. He’ll lay on his back and let me stroke his head. Sometimes, he’ll sit on my shoulder and give my cheek kisses while I write.
He’s a very big part of my writing day, and for editors who Zoom with me, he’s the squawk in the background. 🙂 He’s always around.
