Some pretty new yarn

At the craft store, I saw some beautiful yarn that I really had no use for. I’m not an advanced knitter. I can’t follow a pattern, and the most I can do is make some squares and rectangles. (Although I can do a lot with a rectangle!) But I just love pretty yarn!

So I will make pot holders. Very simple pot holders. Just squares. And they make me very happy!

Besides, knitting is relaxing for me. When I’m sitting in front of my computer, trying to figure out what is wrong with a scene, or what will happen next, I unravel my own mind with knitting. I like making little rows of neat stitches that turn into something pretty. It helps me think through my stories.

There you have it–the things that make me happy while I sort out the stories you read! πŸ™‚

If you’d like to check out my books, you can find them all here! And if you’d like to join my monthly newsletter, I do giveaways that include some of my knitting (and this month, some of my embroidery, too!)

Happy reading!

  1. I absolutely love the colors that you used in the square you showed above. They are the most calming group of colors I have ever seen and I wish I could find a sweater or blouse in those colors. I love it so much!! πŸ’˜ Thank you for sharing!! Bye for now!! πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

    1. I loved that combination of colors, too. And I was thinking the same thing–that I’d buy a sweater in that set of colors, too! LOL! Great minds think alike!

      1. Yes!!
        Great minds indeed think alike.
        I read somewhere
that musicians also have a very passionate love for color as well.
Well, I’m a pianist and I think that’s why color plays a big part in my surroundings.
        Take care!!πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

Oh I love this yarn, Pa tricia! πŸ‘πŸ€—πŸ’•
Just like your embroidery floss, I see you love jewel tones!
    SO do I πŸ€—πŸ’• Pretty Dishcloth , eh?! 😊

    1. I do love jewel tones these days! πŸ™‚ And this WAS going to be a dishcloth, but it’s knitting so thick and tight that it’s now going to be a pot holder. LOL!
