Banff, Alberta, is a really gorgeous tourist destination. We live about four hours away, and we decided to do a family day trip. It was exhausting, but very fun! This is the entry to Banff Provincial Park.

The mountains are absolutely gorgeous! They aren’t called the Rockies for nothing! We did a lot of walking. It was very hot! My watch said it was 24C/75F, but it felt a LOT hotter out there! I was sweltering. There are pictures of me looking wilted and too hot. LOL! I’m not posting those. But we had a great time. Just the majesty of those peaks!

We ate at a completely dedicated gluten-free restaurant called Wild Orchid in Canmore. So anyone needing gluten-free dining, it’s the only completely dedicated GF restaurant I could find in all of Banff and the surrounding area. (If you know of others, let me know!) The food was delicious and the service was fantastic!
If you enjoy a mountain getaway as much as I do, I just wanted to remind you about my Second Chance Club miniseries! These are set at a resort in the Rocky Mountains, and you can slide into the gorgeous scenery and heart wrenching romance of the women who dine there together. These are books all about the strength of female friendships, the ability to start over after heartbreak, and the kind of love that makes all the hard parts worth it!
