Reader, I married him

Twenty years ago, I married him. We met in church, got married eight months later, and never looked back. We had our son three years after that, and have simply gone along living our life together. Making plans, working hard, paying bills, and coming home to each other every night.

For our twentieth, we did what we usually do for our anniversaries–book shopping! And dinner out. But we always look forward to a day of ambling around book shops together. It’s our idea of a good time.

Time flies by, and before you know it, we’re both a little plumper and a little greyer, but we’re still crazy about each other. He’s still my favorite person to spend the day with, and I can still catch his eye. We’re that couple who debates who should be the one to take their keys, because really, we only need one set if we’re together.

I suppose it all adds up to this: I love him, and I’m so glad I married him! If you ever wonder where I get the inspiration for all the romances I write, look no further than the guy who takes me book shopping.
