I discovered Jessica R. Patch on social media. She has the darkest, most hilarious sense of humour I have ever come across, and her reels would leave me cackling. I’d then end up telling my mom about whatever little joke Jessica Patch had posted, and we’d both have another laugh about it.

But I hadn’t read one of her books! So I needed to remedy that, and I picked up Her Darkest Secret.

This one is a scare-fest! More than once I looked up from this book and said, “This is a Love Inspired??” But if you stick with it, you’ll definitely see why it’s Love Inspired! The faith element is well woven into this psychological thriller, and by the end you see light. It’s really beautifully done.

Jessica is a fantastic writer. She pulls you into the story from the chilling beginning, and I read this book cover to cover in two days (as well as doing my taxes, so that tells you how much faster I would have read it if I’d had some uninterrupted reading time!)

If you like romantic suspense, and you haven’t read this one yet, do yourself a favor and pick it up!
