I’m a fan of Jessica R. Patch stories, and Trail of Threats is tamer than her longer, trade suspense books, but it’s a good mystery with a satisfying ending. It can be hard to get a full romance into a suspense story with all that running for their lives, but she manages it! I was delighted to have Rocco and Sadie finally get together after a book filled with their banter.

This is one of those stories where when you look back on all the details, it all falls into place. There are no loose ends, and there are no useless bits of information! Just a really well crafted story!

But of course… it’s a Jessica R. Patch book, after all! She never disappoints.
