If you enjoy the spooky aspect of Jaime Jo Wright stories, you’ll love this one! With an archaeological dig gone wrong, someone out to kill Lou, and some hauntings that aren’t just a fable, you’ve got a great read! The setting is fantastic with a slowly lowering lake that has receded enough to reveal a church spire rising up out of the water. And wait until you see what’s under the surface! Absolutely chilling.
The heroine (our Dr. Lou Fitzgerald) is spunky, determined, and definitely willing to take a few risks. The romance with landowner Evan Close who has reason to keep some secrets of his own is a very nice addition to the mystery.
Everything wraps up very satisfyingly, including the romance! This is a Christian romance, so it is entirely clean, and the good always outweighs the spook. I think you’ll enjoy this one! I really did!
