I’ve done a review of a Clare Revell book before, and I’ve likened her to Jaime Jo Wright. She writes Christian Gothic Romantic Suspense, and this story is a neat mashup!
She takes Little Red Riding Hood at Christmas with something wicked lurking in the woods… The story is inventive and entertaining! With Clare Revell, you really never know what to expect, but she always brings it together in a satisfying way. I don’t want to reveal too much of the plot, but it starts with a classical violinist who returns home to her grandparents’ place at Christmas to find out that she’s not quite as welcome as she’d thought she’d be…
The story is set in England. Clare’s books give you that that wonderful, Great Britain flavour.
If you’re in the mood for some Christmas in July, I picked this one up for free on Kindle Unlimited last month. If you’d like to try her books, that’s a great way to get your hands a few of them to get a feel for her stories, but even just picking up a copy, her books a very reasonably priced through White Rose Publishing. (Available through all regular retailers.) She can be counted upon for Christian focused Gothic stories that aren’t too creepy. The teenager in me who used to read Edgar Allen Poe and loved nothing more than a Gothic romance is in her element with Clare Revell books!
