Now, I’m getting flack for this, but I’m in the full Christmas swing. In my defence, it’s cold out there! We’ve got snow, and once we have snow, I need some Christmas sparkle to cheer it up around here. The sun sets at 4:50 pm tonight, for example, and we’re sitting around -10C to -15C. So, chilly… and dark! You’ll have to forgive my craving for carbs and sparkly lights.
Every year, we get a new ornament. In years past, the ornament has been linked to something that interested our son–games, movies, comic book characters… But this year when I took my teenager shopping for our yearly ornament, we chose this guy. 🙂
So I’m starting Christmas, grateful for the promise that Christmas brings. As a Christian, it’s about the birth of a baby who would change absolutely everything. And I’m grateful.
